Hungarian music of the 20th century
within the European context
In cooperation with the corean pianist Jin-Young Lee (lecturer
of the University of Music in Cologne) Tímea Megyesi will
interpret music of two Hungarian composers of the 20th century.
Her intension is to oppose this music to works of composers of
the 18th and 19th century, coming from Scandinavia, Germany and
Italy.
The Hungarian musician Timea Megyesi (born in 1985 in Budapest)
studied from 2003 to 2009 at the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy in
Budapest and from 2006 to 2009 at the University of Music and
Performing Art in Stuttgart. Several times she obtained national
and intenational awards. Actually she studies at the University
of Music and Dance in Cologne.
